Twirls of colors make this a fun skirt. Three colors from the creamcycle paisley were used for the other three flounce in this skirt. It is so versatile. This redondo skirt is part of the swap on MDC too.

Tiny Halter Dress

This dress is so tiny. I really should have put something in the photo for the scale. It is size 0-3 months. You can just barely see the bloomers at the bottom of the dress. I cannot wait to see some photos - there are two of these dresses for sisters!

Patchwork Jumper

A combination of Micheal Miller fabrics and some fabrics from my stash make such a cute jumper. I love the little purple ruffle just under the bodice piece. The back of the dress is just like the front.

Memorial Day Raffle Dress

Jennifer from Natural Madison had the idea to do a raffle to benefit the Fallen Patriot Fund. The Fallen Patriot Fund directly helps families of soldiers who were killed or seriously injured during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Stars & Stripes handkerchief style. The red bow (it is attached with a snap for removal before washing) is just the right touch of color in the blue field of stars. The under skirt is a nice red and white strip. This dress is being offered as part of a raffle on The Tree of Life congo on heyna cart.

Giraffes

Since the first time I saw this fabric - I just loved it. Here is one of my latest customs. The shorts fabric was provided by my customer. It is wool interlock. She wanted a ringer tee with an applique of the giraffe fabric. The appliqué is a reverse appliqués. I have been enjoying this technique. The sleeve are really both there - today is a windy day and that was the best photo I could take.

Thank for looking.

Sweet Dreams

A little girl will have some sweet dreams wearing this little peasant dress. The hem is trimmed with bias made from the bodice fabric. The dress looks a little uneven because it is a windy day here today.

Chocolate Roses Mommy and Me Style

A women on one of the forums I read show a dress made the a beautiful chocolate rose fabric. I knew then that I wanted Mommy & Me outfits for my daughter and I. For my daughters, it is a tie-shoulder bodice and a very full tea length skirt. The skirt is about 90 inches around for maximum twirling. My daughter will not wear a dress that does not spin - and she only wears dresses these days. There is also a large bow with long tails in the back to add a splash more of the pink.

Here is a spinning photo for good measure:
For me, it is a classic a-line skirt. I used a drawstring style waistband on the skirt. Next I need to make a new top to finish the outfit.
One photo of us together.

Sand and Surf Redondo

The muted blues in this fabric give this set such a girly feel. That and the fact the skirt is a redondo. The matching headband is wider than my normal headband so it can be folded in the front to show both fabrics. The fabrics are from the Surf and Sand line by Marcus Brothers.

Dinosaur Romper

Rompers typically stop at size 24month/2T and one of my customers was looking for one that would fit a child who wears a 3T. This is my first attempt at drafting a romper. I was concerned that the print might be too young for the little man - but he saw a photo and loved it.

Cinderella Halter Dress

My daughter crazy for Cinderella. She tries to convince me to allow her to wear her Cinderella costume most days of the week. So I decided to compromise - here is her new halter dress in Cinderella style. The bodice as a glass slipper appliquéd on it using the fabrics of the first skirt layer. The fabric are the same ones I used for the costume. She just loves that is spins and that the fabrics sparkles.

This is the only photo I have showing the back of the dress. It is all shirred for maximum comfort.

Possible Skirt Tester Prints

These are some print I picked up this weekend that would make great skirts. I think I have one more blue/brown print that is still pre-washing.

Blue/Brown Floral - the print on this one is large. It would be perfect for an a-line skirt.

Grey Floral - such a nice pattern the flowers are about 2-3 inches in diameter on this print.

Sunshine Floral - These two fabrics would make a great gored skirt.

Purple Floral - this is a large print similar to the first one. This one would look great as a ladies skirt or a little girl's skirt or dress.

Ginger Bliss!

This line of fabric by Micheal Miller is so much fun. It is perfect for spring/summer. In this skirt I used 3 Ginger Bliss fabrics and a coordinating pink fabric. The waistband is knit (yoga-style) which is so comfortable. I have start to find some tester to refine my sizes for my skirts.

Please excuse my big tummy. I just wanted to show off the waistband.

Cinderella take two.

On the way on from this last trip to Disneyland my daughter ripped her Cinderella dress. So I told her that I would make another one for her. What I did not realize was that she wanted it for her birthday party 3 days later. So I rose to the challenge and made the dress. This time I used a bridal quality fabric rather than costume fabric. The main blue is really pretty with sparkles throughout the fabric. The sleeves and puff have a spiraled glitter pattern. The photo does not do this dress justice. But best of all my daughter loves it and had a great birthday party.
