Little Red Riding Hood Twirling Dress

A customer ordered a twirling dress and asked if I could special order some fabric for it. She loved this Japanese imported Little Red Riding Hood fabric paired with another Japanese apple print. This is the result. The bodice was drafted from a tunic in an ottobre. I lengthened the sleeves, added length and width to the bodice and added a self drafted hood. It also had tie back to give a more fitted look. The skirt part is a six flounce redondo. My daughter is the same size and the customer was fine with her modeling the dress for some photos.

Gecko Unders

Two pair of boxer briefs for the older brother and one for the younger one (to be just like the older one). The print is fun for boys with geckos and frogs.

Katie Jump Rope Redondo

Redondo set using a plaid and floral from the Katie Jump Rope line by Free Spirit. The coordinating blue give a little pop to the outfit.

Chocolate Lollipop Twirls

This line of fabric is just too much fun. I have done some many variations using the fabrics in the Chocolate Lollipop line by Free Spirit. Here is a redondo set. It does not show well on my dress stand. It is a size 8 and just a little too big for the stand.

This is the same skirt with a pink top. The placement of the flower on the shirt was too high. It will be included as an extra top for the skirt.

Redondo - Olivia the Pig Style

Two little ladies who love Olivia the Pig will have fun twirling in these redondo skirts. The black & white fabric says Olivia.

Twist Top & Skirt

This is the same twist top I posted about below. It is not a great fit on my dress form. Here it is paired with a yoga-style a-line skirt created with chocolate lollipop fabric.

Just the skirt:
It fits my model much better:

Twist Top & Gauchos

I love this top pattern. It is only my second attempt at this top. The first on yielded a top that is very low cut. So the pattern was modified and here is the result. It is still a deep v-neck but more modest then the first attempt.

The gaucho are so comfortable with a yoga-style waistband.

Pumpkin Raglan

I know it is still summer but I love the fall. This raglan is a nice reminder of the cooler weather to come - not soon enough though it is still 100+ degrees everyday here. This shirt is going to be part of a collaboration with Mama Stone Creations on hyena cart. It is sized at 12-18 months. I think it is going to be for a stocking in September/October time frame.

Giraffe Raglan

Retro Giraffes are so popular right now - and why not it is so cute! I actually have this fabric in 3 colorways. The applique is a reverse applique.

Guitar Wallet

I was contacted by someone and asked if I could make a wallet for a little boy. It is a bi-fold wallet with a velcro closure tab.

There is a slot for dollars, slots for credit cards and a velro closed pouch for change.

I hope the little man has lots of money to fill it up!

Cargo Pants

I love all the detail in boys clothing. The pants have hip pockets, front pockets with flaps, and pleated back pockets with flaps. The waist is elastic for easy on and the mock fly is a nice touch to look more grown up. There is a raglan and boxer briefs to match these pants - it will be in the next post.

Chocolate Lollipop Extra Ruffles

This set is like the one I did not too long ago - with the addition of ruffles on the pants too.

Lounge Set - Curious George Style

How fun is Curious George? this comfy lounge set pairs Curious George lounge pants with RTW (store bought) shirt appliqued with a piece of the George fabric. After my daughter saw this set she requested a set like this one now. Curious George is one of her favorite book series.

I am not sure why this photo uploaded sideways.

Space Robots

This outfit is for a little man who loves robots. The robot fabric is a Japanese gauze. For the pockets I lined it with cotton to make it more durable for a little man. The raglan is not as puckery as it seem - it does not fit my stand properly.

Tree of Life Applique T & Prefold

I was contracted by another WAHM to do some appliqué work. Di Linh from Toadally Scrumptous wanted a tree of life appliquéd on a tee and a prefold. Here is the appliqué I did on the items she sent to me.

The t-shirt is a tiny 3-6 month size:
