Chocolate Lollipop for a Sweet Lady

This skirt uses 2 fabrics from the fabulous Chocolate Lollipop line of fabrics. I have really loved these fabrics and made lots of things with them. I went to the turquoise/green tones because the lady like the one turquoise fabric in the line. The waistband is a very comfortable yoga style.

Armed Forces Day!

Saturday is Armed Forces Day! In honor of all our servicemen and women, we would like to show a small token of our appreciation. You have made the sacrifice to make my like safe and free. For all that you do everyday, I would like to give away a surprise package to a military family.

So if you or your spouse are an active duty military personnel, please leave a comment to this post. My children will do a drawing for a winner on Sunday.

Dinosaur Baby Pants Set

I love this set! It is just too sweet for a little bity one. The shirt is a cross-over style trimmed with the pants fabric. The pants cuffs pull the outfit together. And the knotted hat is just too cute! It is size 0-3 months (so small)! Currently it is for sale at the Creatively Serene congo.

Lavender & Yellow Ruffle Halter Dress

This dress is the same style as the one posted below. The main difference is that I added a ruffle to the underskirt. I love the simplicity and elegance of the dress. If you click on the photo, it will enlarge so you can see the detail.

Purple and Orange Floral Halter Dress

Just a fun twirly dress for summer! It is a halter style with shirred back for comfort. The skirt is two layered to give a little contrast. I think I will be offering a custom slot of this dress on the Creatively Serene congo soon. For those of you who are not aware of what a congo is - it is a group of shops on hyena cart who get together to sell in one setting. Creatively Serene has so really great shops and I am so pleased to be able to join them soon!

Retro Flowers short set

This floral fabric is so fun! It can be paired with so many different colors and look great. In this set, I paired it with a burnt orange (bright but not too bright). The top is a puffed sleeve, shirred front and back tee. The sleeves and hemline are finished with lettuce edge. The shorts have a yoga-style waistband in brunt orange and the hem is again finished with a lettuce edge.

Helicopters!

Well it has been a long couple of months break from sewing! I am finally starting to come out of the fog of the hyperemesis of this pregnancy. So first on my list was an outfit for my son. This helicopter print was perfect (or so I thought). I finished this outfit and he proceeded to tell me he wanted it green! The shirt is a curved raglan and is paired with a pair of yoked shorts. I love the detail on the shorts - yoked front and back with angled pockets on the front and back. It feels so good to be sewing again!

Dolly & Me Vidas

I just love this Vida. It was so fun. The dolly one was even more fun. I was even able to find ribbon in a thinner width that worked great!

Christmas Olivia

This was a "Mommy, I don't have a Christmas dress to wear to school today!" So what does a good sewing mama do - make a Olivia of course. I had to trace a new size as she has grown - but she did not want a pocket or hood so it made this one go quicker. I thought I had a modeled photo of this dress - but I could not find it. I will post one later if I find one.

Birthday Bling!

Amie turned 1! Such a sweet little lady. Her mamas loves bling - so here is a onesie with crystal polka dot cupcake. The cupcake wrapper is a wide wale corduroy. This turned out really cute. The photo do not to it justice. It just sparkles and is fun. Happy Birthday Amie!

Buzz Raglan and Patchy Pants

My son is just crazy for Buzz Lightyear. The knit fabric with a print of Buzz has been in my stash for a little while. It was perfect for him. The pants use a number of woven fabrics all with Buzz.

Some Lounge Sets

This fabric is so fun and festive. There were actually 3 sets of these for brother for Christmas. This set is 3T and the other two were size 10/12.

I have a friend who loves owls. This set is for her little girl.

More nightgowns

This first one is sized at a 2t and the mannequin is approximately a 3t. It is turquoise chocolate lollipop paired with a cozy brown flannel. Some of the "flower" are appliquéd on the bottom of the nightgown.

Perfect for your little cupcake. This one also has a matching dolly one - but I did not photo it.
