Christmas Olivia

This was a "Mommy, I don't have a Christmas dress to wear to school today!" So what does a good sewing mama do - make a Olivia of course. I had to trace a new size as she has grown - but she did not want a pocket or hood so it made this one go quicker. I thought I had a modeled photo of this dress - but I could not find it. I will post one later if I find one.

Organic Banboo Hoodie & Yoga Set - Belle Style

Cuddle up in cozy organic bamboo velour! The velour was dyed a sunflower yellow for this hoodie. The hood is lined and the pockets accented with a all over princess print. The yoga pants are a great French terry. The Belle on the pants is appliquéd from a piece of licensed fabric.

This morning right after sunrise I was out taking photos of this outfit and the previous one I posted. I did not have time to wait for the better light of the day as these need to be in the hand of two little ladies so they can wear them for Disney on Ice! So the colors are so much nicer in real life - but this will have to do so that it could be shipped on time.

All spread out:

Veterans' Day Giveaway

This Tuesday (11/11) is Veterans' Day - the day when we honor all of these people who have served for our country. In my little way I have made a tradition of giving away a lounge set to a military family on that day. To be considered into the giveaway this year, you will need to post a comment to this post and then I will randomly draw a winner (or maybe two). The drawing will be done on Veterans' Day.

Please only enter this if you are a military family.

Thanks to all of you who make sacrifices everyday to make this country a safe place for my family! Thank you!

Helicopter Baby Bag

One of our college friends and his wife just had a baby boy. He works on helicopters so we thought this fabric would be perfect. I made a baby bag (as we call them) because it was my husband's favorite thing for newborns. It is a daddy-friendly outfit for diaper changes - no snaps, zippers or buttons! Welcome to the world baby Ryan!

Tiered Goldfish Skirt Set

This set was to help a little girl feel better about preschool. She and her mom loved the goldfish fabric and the little girl's favorite color is yellow. So I did my best to combine the two.
