Eyelet Solarveil

I love solarveil slings for the summer - but I wanted to jazz it up a little bit. I borrowed this idea from Diane at Mother's Helper. I added a border to the solarveil with some eyelet fabric. A pocket could also be added to this sling.

Linen and Lace

Soft blue linen with a glimmery lace accent piece. The lace on this sling is beautiful - flowery with a glimmer characteristic.

Tee Shirt Dress

My daughter loves these tee shirt dresses. Here is one that I made to be like Minnie Mouse.

I make these skirts really full so they flare out when she twirls.

Tic-Tac-Toe

Here are some little tic-tac-toe games that I have made using my embroidery machine. It is an in hoop design. There is even a little pocket on the back to hold all the pieces. Please ignore all the threads - it was late last night and I did not trim it up yet.

Pizza anyone?

I have been playing with felt to make some play food for my daughter's kitchen. My latest creation - pizza.

The first photo shows the plain cheese pizza.

But I also made some add-your-own toppings.

Sliced bell peppers.
Starting at the top going clockwise: Ham & pineapple (the ham was washed out in the photo), sausage, olives, pepperoni.

Mmmmmm....

Blue/Jewel Tutu

Here is another tutu. This one is blue tulle with a jewel toned ribbon waist band.

Fun summer bag

This is a fun summer bag. It is large enough to hold:
1 sippy cup, 1 container of Gerber fruit, 2 disposable diapers or 1 cloth diaper, a wipes pack, wallet, and antibacterial wash.

Colorful Tutu

Here is a tutu I made for a little girl. Her favorite colors are light pink, violet and sage green. The pale pink & sage green get washed out in the photo and the violet has a glitter on it. It is definitely much prettier in real life. I hope she has lots of fun with this one!

Custom Airplane MT

Here is a custom Mei Tai. This fabric was sent to me by a customer to make this beautiful MT. It is reversible - on side is the airplane print the other side is a red checkered pattern. The straps are navy blue canvas. She also requested to have a higher head support.

Remember the days of the sock monkey. Well he is becoming more popular again. Well why not - isn't he cute!

Donuts Anyone

This was a fun project. I am involved in a play food swap. Each person is making some play food to send out. I chose to make donuts.

I made strawberry frosted, chocolate frosted, jelly, glazed, chocolate eclairs, and vanilla eclairs.

These are the best kind of donuts - calorie free!

Cars "Princess" Dresses

My daughter just loves the movie Cars. Lately, the only thing she wants to wear are "princess" dresses. So I combined the two and made her a couple of Cars princess dresses. I don't have any really good photos of her wearing them yet.

I think I am going to embroider Lightning McQueen on this one. I think the white needs a little dressing up.

I also made the skirts really full. When she spins it really flairs out. What little girl does not love a spinny dress.

A few new carriers

First up is a brocade onbuhimo on black canvas straps.


Next is a pleather onbuhimo on moleskin straps. This one is the same combination of the mei tai I made the other day.



Last, this is the Blue wavy dots canvas Mei Tai on natural straps.

Diaper bag/tote

I just finished my diaper bag to match my onbuhimo. Here are some photos:

There are two large pockets and two small pocket & magnetic closure.

The embroidered K is actually two colors - the green & teal from the diamonds.

Pleather Embroidered Flower MT

This MT panel is fake leather with flower embroidery. The straps are a cushy moleskin.

Star Wars Diaper

For those of you who think I am crazy to cloth diaper. Checkout some of the diapers I have made. When you change you change it just like a disposable. There are touch tape (like Velcro) tabs to close the diapers - no pins.

Here are two diapers. One has a Star Wars PUL outer and rocket ship flannel inner. The other has red PUL inner and fire engine flannel inner.

I will post photos of the ones I have made for Craig soon.

Some new MTs

Here are a couple more MT. The first one is reversible. The first side has a blue/brown fabric print and the other side has a coordinating striped print. The straps are tan.

The second MT has navy blue straps and the panel is a pretty blue flower patter.

Blue & Brown Striped Tote

Here is a tote I just finished for my hair stylist Bonnie. She always wanted something with her initials on it. I embroidered the initials. Here is a photo of the outside:

The inside has pockets of the same striped fabric and divided into 4 sections.

Mei Tai & Onbuhimo

Here are a couple new carriers that I have just finished. The first is an onbuhimo. A Japanese baby carrier with an upper set of straps and lower rings. The straps are a very dark brown twill with a simple embroidery stiching. The panel is a beautiful brocade.

The next carrier is a Mei Tai - an asian baby carrier. It has two sets of straps. It has natural canvas straps.
