Helicopters!

Well it has been a long couple of months break from sewing! I am finally starting to come out of the fog of the hyperemesis of this pregnancy. So first on my list was an outfit for my son. This helicopter print was perfect (or so I thought). I finished this outfit and he proceeded to tell me he wanted it green! The shirt is a curved raglan and is paired with a pair of yoked shorts. I love the detail on the shorts - yoked front and back with angled pockets on the front and back. It feels so good to be sewing again!

Buzz Raglan and Patchy Pants

My son is just crazy for Buzz Lightyear. The knit fabric with a print of Buzz has been in my stash for a little while. It was perfect for him. The pants use a number of woven fabrics all with Buzz.

Pumpkin Raglan

I know it is still summer but I love the fall. This raglan is a nice reminder of the cooler weather to come - not soon enough though it is still 100+ degrees everyday here. This shirt is going to be part of a collaboration with Mama Stone Creations on hyena cart. It is sized at 12-18 months. I think it is going to be for a stocking in September/October time frame.

Giraffe Raglan

Retro Giraffes are so popular right now - and why not it is so cute! I actually have this fabric in 3 colorways. The applique is a reverse applique.

Camo Dinosaur Raglan Set

This set is sized 10/12. The raglan is a curved raglan with camo dinosaurs for the front and back panels. The cargo pants are a nice weight 100% cotton twill. All the photos should be able to be enlarged by clicking on it to see more detail.

Space Robots

This outfit is for a little man who loves robots. The robot fabric is a Japanese gauze. For the pockets I lined it with cotton to make it more durable for a little man. The raglan is not as puckery as it seem - it does not fit my stand properly.

Pirate Raglan Short Set

Yo ho, yo ho! This pirate print is fun. I used 2 coordinating prints for the shorts. One leg is the large pirate print the other leg is black with a large pocket of the other print. The curved raglan is embroidered with a pirate flag. The embroidery design is from Designs by JuJu.

Goldfish in a Bag!

I had fun doing this custom order. The reverse appliqué on the shirt actually has vinyl on top of the fabric to represent the bag. The shorts pockets use some the coordinating fabrics on the pockets. Six fish in bags are appliquéd on the pockets.

Giraffes

Since the first time I saw this fabric - I just loved it. Here is one of my latest customs. The shorts fabric was provided by my customer. It is wool interlock. She wanted a ringer tee with an applique of the giraffe fabric. The appliqué is a reverse appliqués. I have been enjoying this technique. The sleeve are really both there - today is a windy day and that was the best photo I could take.

Camouflage Dinosaur Set

I have had so much fun creating this set. The curved ragan sleeved tee is made using 100% cotton interlock and embroidered with an outline of a stegosaurus. The pants are so cute using the dinosaur camouflage fabric and a black fabric. I am also currently working on another set in another colorway.
Here are some action shots. My son love to play hard and cannot stay clean for long - LOL.

Glub, Glub, Glub

I love this Heather Ross Goldfish fabric. The first set is a raglan shirt with an applique of the Fish in Bags fabric. The pant cuff and applique are done with the swimming goldfish fabric.

This top uses the swimming fish for the sleeves. The pants have a racer strip of goldfish in bags fabric. The goldfish bowl applique is the swimming goldfish fabric.

Mickey Raglans

Here are two raglan shirts I just finished. This is the best action shot I could manage with a very active 1 year old and a 3 year old who doesn't want her picture taken today - LOL.
